We are proud to be an advocate of Shop Small Saturday, which encourages holiday shoppers to make purchases and get out to support local business.
Did You Know?
In Iowa:

- In 2014, 48.7% of the state’s workforce was employed by small businesses
- For every $100 spent at a locally-owned business, $68 will stay in your community. If you spend that same $100 at a national chain? Only $43 stays in the community
- When you shop local, you help create local jobs, you nurture your community, you conserve your tax dollars, and you help the environment
Small businesses help ensure local economies stay strong and vibrant. This November 25 we encourage you to get out, get active, and support your local economies. Local Chariton businesses participating this year include:
- Cindy Lou’s
- Fifth Mile
- Frontier Trading Post
- Gifts Galore at LCHC
- Hunter Bros. Tree Farm
- Montage Of Memories Apothecary
- Piper’s
- reBalance/Pure
- That Place On Main
- The Grand Bazaar
- The Porch
